Bodrum Peninsula & Greek islands

Cruise among nature, history and worldliness

Many of you have sailed along the south Turkish coast, but there are still a few who know this area of astonishing beauty. By now it is the entire peninsula to be known as the "Turkish Saint Tropez" and not just the city of Bodrum.
In this area there are many beautiful bays with crystal waters, alternated by modern marinas offering stylish venues and singular boutiques. This peninsula during the summer period, and also in winter time, welcomes the Turkish elite and Vip from all over the world.
But despite the modernity, the charm of ancient history is still real: it’s enough in fact to leave the inhabited centres to feel the influence of the great ancient civilizations and of the neighbouring Europe.

The cruise starts from Bodrum, the ancient Greek town of Halikarnas, today it’s a lively and worldly town, famous for its night life and shopping, particularly for the beautiful leather bags. It is possible to reach Bodrum easily by ferry (approx 30 min.) from Kos, a Greek island located in front of the city. Then the cruise reaches characteristic places like:
Gümüşlük is a picturesque fishing village, located into the national park.
Yalikavak is the most famous resort in the peninsula for nautical tourism thanks to "Palmarina", a modern and elegant marine, that hosts also the "Billionaire" and the "Cipriani" restaurant, both opened by Flavio Briatore a few years ago.
Turbuku a small and quiet seaside resort surrounded by a beautiful pine forest, is the summer residence of the rich Turkish and international middle class.
Karaada island in Turkish “black island”, is so called because it is difficult to get inside, due to a very dense vegetation.
Cökertme a small fishing village surrounded by unspoiled nature, is an unmissable stop to have a characteristic aperitif on the sea.
Mazi and Pabuç Bay are some of the most beautiful bays, ideal for overnight stays, where crystal clear water looks like a natural aquarium.

Along this route, it's possible to reach some Greek islands, as:
Leros, the island of Artemis, crossed by gentle low hills covered with eucalyptus, pines and fields of olive trees. It is recommended to visit Platanos, the main town of Leros, with steep steps, narrow streets and flower gardens.
Kalimnos island, well-known for its sponge fishermen, with turquoise waters and white beaches that smell of thyme, sage and oregano.

The customs formalities for exit and return to Turkey will be made in Turgutreis, a charming town on the peninsula of Bodrum that offers a modern and elegant marina.
